Proposed improvements in the Rail Traffic
It will be necessary to carry out survey of the visitors with their
starting destinations and the travel tour program to other Gurdwara in
India from Nanded. The railway authorities shall study the data and
arrange additional specials trains from and to all these important
destinations.
Improvement in existing platforms, additional platforms and siding
yard will be necessary at Nanded proper as well as other nearby
stations closer to the camp locations. All these stations may also
require improvement/ extension of existing platforms. Additional
office staff and working crews will be necessary to be deployed during
this period, for enquiry, reservation etc.
It will be important to create facilities to disseminate
information for the visitors regarding the accommodation booking,
enquiry, travel plans, and reservation requirement. The city camps,
public institutes may be preferably reserved for senior citizens and
accordingly accommodation at the outside camps shall be allotted.
It will be necessary to plan shuttle bus services from the railway
station to different camps to avoid traffic jams due to private
vehicles. The station area requires facelift
to park the shuttle buses. All visitors shall be informed about the
arrangements so that the passengers can be cleared fast.
